Well before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, air quality in both residential and public arenas has long been a source of health concerns for young and old, generated by pollutants ranging from chemicals and gases to such living organisms as mould, bacteria, cysts and viruses.

US-based air purification R&D company CleanAirZone (CAZ) will showcase its innovative, Bio-Based Air Purifier at the all-digital CES 2021, with plans for a Q2 2021 release.

Developed by a dedicated team of engineers, scientists, biologists, technicians and award-winning Industrial designers, CleanAirZone offers the only air purification technology that sustainably captures and destroys 99.99% of air contaminants as ultrafine as 0.0001μ (0.1 nanometres) in indoor environments with their patented technology.

Requiring no disposable filters and reducing landfill waste in a process that creates zero harmful waste or by-products, the technology replicates nature’s three-billion-year-old process of cleansing the atmosphere by combining water and microbiotics in a proprietary natural enzyme formula.

While poor air quality can result in common and palpable symptoms such as sore eyes, burning in the nose and throat, sneezing, coughing and headaches, the less obvious results include lowered productivity, absenteeism from work and school, failure to thrive, and fatigue, from infancy up through the ages. Homes, schools, offices, factories, shopping areas, tourist attractions … humans encounter bad air everywhere in daily life and the toll is high.

The efficacy of CAZ’s revolutionary green technology has been tested extensively and proven in both lab and field settings for drastically reducing all types of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including viruses such as MRSA, Legionella, H1N1 Flu Virus Degradation, and even including Covid-19.

The benefits of the CleanAirZone system include:

  • No filters to change and throw out
  • Green Technology
  • Able to capture the smallest particle (0.0001 μ)
  • No reduction in air flow or purification efficiency
  • Increase in efficiency over time as the biotics increase in colony count and get stronger
  • Low maintenance
  • Powerful capture and destroy technology
  • Safe
  • Cost Effective
  • Scalable
  • Environmentally friendly
  • No disposable filters or Mercury Vapor UV bulbs to landfill
  • No harmful by-products

Among locations in which CAZ has been tested are a prestigious art exhibit at the renowned Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York City, which used huge amounts of sugar cane, which produces mould. CAZ air purification units were placed throughout the exhibit, maintaining quality air, protecting the project and the people. Additional venues in which the CAZ system is deployed includes the Cleveland University Hospital, the New York City Housing Authority, Morrisview Healthcare Nursing Home, Ludlow Hotel (NYC) and select restaurant locations, among others.
