Rameder expands into Towbars for Electric Cars
Rameder has expanded their application options for fully electric passenger cars with towbars design specifically for electric cars.
More and more fully electric vehicles now offer a useful towing capacity. Whether you are setting out on a caravan vacation, transporting garden waste to the recycling point with a small trailer or going on tour with a heavy e-bike – the right towbars for electric cars are now available from Rameder, Europe’s largest supplier for transport solutions for passenger cars.
The BMW iX3 is one of the true powerhouses among electric cars. With the rigid towbar from the Rameder range, the BMW can handle up to 2,500 kilograms on the towbar, with a vertical load of 100 kg – enough for a medium-sized caravan or even a horse trailer. The towbar can be ordered online for €232 plus the electrical set. As with all Rameder retrofit towbars, this kit provides customers with everything they need to independently install the towbar, from the smallest screw to detailed installation instructions.
For the Mercedes-Benz EQA, Rameder offers a rigid towbar from €304, while the detachable variant is available from €470. Each is sold as a set with a universal 7-pin electrical set. Both versions allow the Mercedes to set out with a respectable towing capacity of 850 kilograms. A towbar with an impressive 1.8 ton towing capacity is planned for the end of March.
Tesla is undoubtedly one of the pioneers of electromobility. For the Model 3, for example, Rameder offers a detachable towbar in its online shop for €628 as a complete set including the 7-pin electrical set. This towbar is not approved for towing a trailer, but is designed for holding a bike carrier and offers a solid vertical load of 75 kilograms.
Towbars can help to expand the application options for electric vehicles.
