With diary dates booked and exhibitor sales at pre-pandemic levels, this year’s Cenex-Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV), along with co-located Cenex-Connected Automated Mobility (CAM) is set to be the most significant in the event’s illustrious 15-year history.

The 15th anniversary marks a milestone for Cenex-LCV, while co-located Cenex-CAM reaches its 4th birthday. 2022 will also see the return of international delegates for face-to-face meetings, for the first time since 2019, which is proving a major draw for exhibitors.

The event will be held on September 7 and 8 at leading motor industry test and event venue, UTAC Millbrook in Bedfordshire. The mainstays of the event are the technology exhibition, industry and government speakers taking part in an extensive seminar programme, and exclusive showcasing of the latest vehicle developments in a motor industry development and test environment.

As the UK’s longest established technology showcasing and networking event for the low carbon vehicle community, Cenex-LCV provides a strategic platform for agenda setting for key technical, policy and infrastructure initiatives. The focus of the low carbon vehicle community is on the targets, commencing from 2030, that are accelerating the shift to electric mobility for vehicles of all types across international markets.

This year, the two-day event will focus on the low carbon vehicle Transition to Net Zero and how innovation is shaping an Automated Connected Electric and Shared Mobility (ACES) future of mobility.

Along with the event’s exhibition, the seminar programme will provide a platform for circulating research project results, showcasing leading-edge technologies, highlighting new product launches and for agenda setting on market and policy drivers.

CEO of Cenex, Robert Evans, comments: “Since its inception in 2008, Cenex-LCV has truly become the ‘must-attend’ event for the UK low carbon vehicle community, and it is pleasing to see how it has grown over the last 15 years – engaging an ever-growing number of organisations, who are actively contributing technology, policy and market development activities in support of decarbonising and automating road transport.

Under Cenex’ stewardship, with the help of supporting partners, the Cenex-LCV event maintains a strategic focus on supporting companies in the UK to strive for competitiveness by bringing forward new technologies and business models that can drive forward the transition to Net Zero transport, whilst ensuring a supportive policy framework to aid market transformation.

Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM are where the leading-edge UK innovations are showcased. The 15th anniversary provides an exciting opportunity to recap on the tremendous progress made since the event’s inception, whilst also focusing on how to tackle remaining challenges and realise key opportunities in the critical years ahead.”
